My Blogging Tools – FBFF
This week’s FBFF topic is both interesting and useful. Katy has asked what tools do we use to blog….
What tools do you use?
I do 99% of the blog on my iPad. It is possible to do this! I compromise slightly by using this rather than my laptop but the ease of blogging on the iPad makes up for any shortcomings an iPad might have. I use WordPress and have a WP app to blog with. I have a ridiculous amount of photo editing apps which I use. The apps are so easy to use.
I have a Canon Powershot SX130 and tripod. The camera was on sale as a newer version was coming out and it was great value. I like that it is reassuringly bulky. Yes it’s a bit of pain that it takes batteries but I do love it!
Since I am with WordPress and don’t code my own site, the iPad is perfect. I plan this year to design and code the blog from scratch and for that I will break out the big guns, my laptop with Illustrator, Photoshop etc on it. If you are planning to start a blog and aren’t going to build it yourself, an iPad really is the best tool.
I do have a poor relationship with the following social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr and Google plus.
What technology is on your wish list?
I’d like an iPhone. It would be handy for taking pictures when I don’t have my camera. My laptop and software are all shiny and new so for once I am up to date technology wise.
Through the barrage of tweets, pics, poses, messages etc, how do you avoid becoming a slave to the constant infiltration of information?
I’m terrible with social media. It’s a part of blogging that I haven’t devoted enough time to. I’m not overwhelmed at all. It’s one of my blog aims this year to organise which platform is the best for me and concentrate on it. I can’t do all of them. I’m not doing any of them effectively!

Loved to read your answers! I’m not good on social media either, I don’t use it very much apart from Twitter.
Hi Nanne, glad I’m not alone with social media problems! I think Twitter is the best one for me to concentrate on as well!
Wow that’s amazing that you do it all from an iPad. I should have put that on my wish list!
Hey I think you have a great blog going here, I found it on Bing and plan on returning regularly for the information that you all are providing.|Thanks for making my morning a little bit better with this great article!!
